Lok Sabha is today scheduled to take up a calling attention motion regarding the recent disclosure by the Court of Appeals, Milan, Italy on alleged irregularities in AgustaWestland Helicopter deal, 2013. Some BJP MPs, including Anurag Thakur and Dr. Kirti Somaiya, have given the notice in this regard.<br/><br/>Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar had said in Rajya Sabha on Wednesday that there was corruption in AgustaWestland chopper deal, finalised during the UPA regime. He had said the country wants to know as to who instigated, supported and benefited from corruption, and the government will unravel the truth.<br/><br/>Abhishek Manu Singhvi of the Congress had said there was nothing wrong in the deal. He said, as soon as the UPA government sensed something fishy, it promptly sacked the company forfeiting its bank guarantee and impounding three VVIP choppers which it had supplied.
