LS resumes discussion on motion of thanks on President's address

The Lok Sabha today resumed a discussion on the motion of thanks to the Presidential Address to joint sitting of the both the Houses of Parliament. <br/><br/>Participating in the discussion, Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge accused the Narendra Modi led NDA government of renaming various schemes which was earlier started by UPA and no schemes are being introduced.<br/> <br/>Mr. Kharge questioned why Food Security Scheme has not been implemented in the BJP ruled Gujarat so far. He also alleged that the present regime has cut the budgetary allocation in social sector and it is not giving adequate Minimum Support Price MSP to farmers in the country. The Congress leader also took a dig at the ruling party charging with working on the direction of RSS.<br/><br/>Intervening in the discussion, Parliamentary Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu countered Congress allegations saying that the aim of the NDA government is to take the country forward and the country is moving in this direction. <br/><br/>He said, the goal of the government is to ensure alround development of the poor, vulnerable and marginalised sections of the society.He requested the opposition not to derail the government agenda of development for scoring political points and should also not create disruption in the proceedings of Parliament. <br/><br/>Referring to JNU the incident, Mr Naidu said, the government will not tolerate any kind of anti-national activities in the country. The discussion remained inconclusive.
