Notification for the Fourth and Fifth phases of Lok Sabha elections, spread over 128 Parliamentary constituencies in 16 states, has been issued. The states are, Assam, Sikkim, Tripura, Goa, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Odisha, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.

The last date of filing of nominations is the 26th of this month. Scrutiny will be held on the 27th and the last date of withdrawal of nominations is the 29th.

Assam, Sikkim, Tripura and Goa will go to the polls on the 12th of next month, while polling in Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Odisha, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal will be held on the 17th of next month.

Voting will take place for 32 members Sikkim Assembly along with one Lok Sabha seat on the 12th of April. For 77 seats of Odisha Assembly for which notification has been issued today, polling will take place on 17th April.

The counting of votes for Lok Sabha and the Assembly Elections will take place on the 16th of May.
