BJP Central Election Committee meeting is underway in New Delhi to finalize the third list of candidates for the Lok Sabha seats.

The seats of many political heavyweights including LK Advani, Narendra Modi, Sushma Swaraj, Murli Manohar Joshi and Jaswant Singh are likely to be finalised. The meeting is being attended by party President Rajnath Singh, L K Advani, Sushma Swaraj, Murli Manohar Joshi and Narendra Modi. The party has already released two lists in which it has declared 106 candidates in various states.

Prior to the election committee meeting, party's Parliamentary Board held discussions to sort out differences that have cropped up about candidature for some seats and also entry of some leaders and tieup with some regional parties.

Meanwhile, Congress Election Committee is also meeting to give a final touch to its 2nd list of candidates for Lok Sabha polls. The meeting at the residence of party President Sonia Gandhi is being attended by senior leaders. The party has already released its first list of 194 candidates for the polls.
