The Lok Sabha today reiterated its resolve on the Earth Day today to step up efforts for preserving the planet's resources for the present and future generations. The Lok Sabha Speaker Mrs. Meira Kumar said that the Earth Day is observed to inspire the people to take concerted action for the cause of environment. She said that it is also aimed at generating awareness about the environmental problems being faced by planet earth due to global warming, over population and indiscriminate exploitation of natural resources.<br/>
