The Lok Sabha today passed the interim general budget for 2014-15 by voice vote. The House also passed the vote-on- account appropriation Bill-2014-15 and Finance Bill by voice vote amidst noisy scenes. Finance Minister P Chidambaram moved the bills for consideration and passage. Initiating the discussion, BJP leader Murali Manohar Joshi alleged that the vote-on- account did not address the challenges faced by the government on food security and social instability. He could not complete his speech due to unruly scenes.
