The Lok Sabha has passed the Appropriation Bill, 2012. It authorises payment and appropriation of certain sums from the Consolidated Fund of India for services in the financial year 2012-13.

Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee introduced the Bill, which was passed by the House after negating all the cut motions moved by the Opposition. Earlier, Speaker Meira Kumar guillotined the outstanding Demands for Grants in the General Budget.
