The Lok Sabha, today discussed the Budget for the National Capital Territory of Delhi for the year 2014-15. Initiating the discussion, Deepender Singh Hooda, Congress criticized the BJP for not lowering the power tariff by 30 per cent as promised in it election manifesto.He demanded uniform rail fare up to 80 kilometres in the NCR region as has been done in Maharashtra. Railway Minister, Sadanand Gowda in his reply said that this provision is applicable in all the Metro cities.Hooda also demanded allocation for an expressway to connect Haryana with Delhi via Bahadurgarh.
