The Lok Sabha has strongly condemned the incident of atrocity on dalits in Mirchpur village of Hissar district of Haryana. Two persons were burnt to death and over a dozen injured when a large number of houses of dalits were set ablaze by some anti-social elements. The speaker Mrs Meira Kumar led the House in expressing condolences to bereaved families and wishing speedy recovery for the injured.<br/> She also paid tributes to former Lok Sabha members Varkala Radhakrishnan and Mrs Prabha Rau, both of whom died on Monday.<br/> The House stood in silence for a while as a mark of respect to the memory of the departed.
