Ruling BJP has wrested two Lok Sabha seats from Congress in bye-election Gujarat . BJP snatched Porbandhar Lok Sabha seat from Congress defeating the rival by more than one lakh votes. Similarly BJP candidate won Banaskantha Lok Sabha seat by defeating nearest Congress rival by more than 70 thousand votes. BJP also wrested four assembly seats from Congress in the state.

The results of all the four Parliament seats and five assembly seats have come in.

In West Bengal Trinamool Congress candidate defeated his nearest CPIM rival by over 27000 votes. In Bihar, RJD candidate has won Maharajganj Lok Sabha bye-poll by a convincing margin over 1 Lakh 37 thousand votes. He defeated his immediate rival from JDU.

In Uttar Pradesh Assembly bye-election, ruling Samajwadi Party has retained Handia assembly seat . Its candidate defeated BSP nominee by about 22,000 votes.
