The Lok Sabha was adjourned twice today over the happenings in Ayodhya on this day in 1992.

As the House met for the day, the Speaker took up the question hour. But soon thereafter one BSP member waved a black flag. He was joined by an MIM member. The BJP members strongly protested their action and surged into the well.

Amidst shouts and counter-shouts, Speaker Meira Kumar adjourned the House till noon. When the House reassembled after its first adjournment, the BJP members again started shouting slogans. They were countered by the BSP and Samajwadi Party members. Amidst the uproar, the BJP members surged into the well once again and the Chair adjourned the proceedings till 2 p.m.
