Both the Houses of Parliament have been adjourned, the Lok Sabha for the day and the Rajya Sabha till 2 p.m. on different issues. Earlier, the two Houses witnessed an hour-long adjournment. The BJP forced the adjournment of the Lok Sabha on the coal blocks allocation issue by raising slogans. This time the treasury bench members forcefully countered them. Amidst the din, Presiding Officer Francisco Sardinia adjourned the House for the day.The Rajya Sabha was adjourned on the issue of quota in promotions for the Scheduled castes and Scheduled Tribes in government jobs. The Samajwadi Party members trooped into the well shouting slogans against the Constitution amendment bill introduced in the House yesterday. The BJP members, however, continued with their slogan-shouting demanding the Prime Minister's resignation over the coal blocks allocation issue.
