LS adjourned for day on CBI raids at DMK leader Stalin's house & other issues

The Lok Sabha has been adjourned till tomorrow. As soon as the House met at 2 pm after two adjournments, the DMK members again walked into the well condemning the CBI raid on the house of their party leader M.K. Stalin in Chennai . They were also agitated over the Sri Lankan Tamil issue. Deputy Speaker Karia Munda requested them to allow the House to function. When his pleas went in vain, he was forced to adjourn the House.

The Lok Sabha was earlier adjourned till 2 p.m. today. When the House met at noon after its first adjournment, members of the DMK and Trinamool Congress were back in the well with their demands. The DMK members were raising slogans against the CBI raid on the house of its leader M.K. Stalin in Chennai. The Trinamool Congress members were demanding a special economic package for West Bengal. They also demanded the resignations of Finance Minister P.Chidambaram and Railway Minister P.K. Bansal for their alleged discrimination against the State. Later, they returned to their seats. But the DMK members persisted with their sloganeering, forcing the adjournment of the House till 2 p.m.
