LPG rate cut by Rs 43.50, jet fuel prices by 12.5 %

Non-subsidised cooking gas has become cheaper by 43 rupees and 50 paise per cylinder. Reduction in rates was announced by the oil companies today. A 14.2-kg cylinder of non-subsidised LPG will now cost 708 rupees, 50 paise in Delhi. This is the fifth straight reduction in rates of non-subsidised or market-priced LPG, which the customers buy after exhausting their quota of 12 cylinders at subsidised rates,since August. A subsidised LPG refill currently costs 417 in Delhi. Jet fuel rates were slashed by 12.5 per cent. It is the sixth straight reduction in prices since August, as international oil prices slumped to five-year low levels. The price of aviation turbine fuel, ATF, at Delhi was cut by 7,520 rupees, 52 paise per kilolitre to 52,422 rupees, 92 paise per kilo litre.Prices of non-subsidised LPG and Jet fuel rates have come down due to steep decline in crude oil prices in international markets.
