The Government has said that there is no proposal in consideration right now for increasing LPG cylinder price. It was said by union minister of state for petroleum and natural Gas Mr. Jitin Prasad on Wednesday at Lucknow while talking to media persons. He said that although there is a loss of 300 hundred rupees against each cylinder delivered to consumers but government would has been bearing it in the interest of common men. He said that government has accepted Vision 2015 with objective for full satisfaction of consumers and under this vision facility for LPG cylinder booking through SMS and automatic telephones will be available at most of the towns very soon which is now available at Kochchi and Delhi. He said that to check the theft of gas from cylinder a mechanism will be implemented very soon and it will be initiated in Uttar Pradesh from Meerut. Mr. Prasad also said that oil companies will be introducing multi purpose regulators for cylinders to know the consumption of gas from a cylinder in use.<br/><br/>Mr. Prasad said considering increasing demands of LPG and petro products during winter season all oil companies have decided for keeping advance stocks for 15 days to meet out any demand in emergency. He said that earlier advance stocks were kept for only 11 days. He said that 24 hour LPG supply will be made available through gas pipe lines to 70 thousand houses in Lucknow. He informed that 75 lakhs LPG connections have been given during last financial year across the country including 9 lakhs in Uttar Pradesh.<br/><br/>Mr. Prasad inaugurated Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Gas Vitran Yojana in Uttar Pradesh drawing lottery for agency at 6 places in Sitapur, Shahajahnpur, Bareilly Jhansi and Lakhimpur Kheri district. He announced Lucknow- Delhi road rout will be developed as green corridor and CNG stations will be set up at Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly and Ghaziabad districts. He said similarly Kanpur- Agra- Faridabad rout also will be developed as green corridor.
