Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan has said the government’s top priority is to lower the infant mortality rate.

Replying to supplementaries during question hour in the Lok Sabha today, he
said the government has identified 184 districts in 18 states for the development of the health infrastructure.

He said the Centre is assisting states to set up more medical colleges and offer incentives to doctors working in rural areas.
