The Well-Marked Low-Pressure Area over Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Andaman Sea has concentrated into a depression, as said by the India Meteorology Department.<br />'' <br />'' Talking to AIR News, the department's regional director in Chennai, Dr. Balachandiran said the weather system was lying about 170 km west of Car Nicobar and 300 km south-southwest of Port Blair in Andaman Islands as observed by noon today. The weather system was seen some 1270 km southeast of Visakhapatnam and 1300 km south-southeast of Puri in Odisha.<br />'' <br />'' The depression is very likely to move north-westwards and intensify into a Cyclonic Storm over the east-central Bay by tomorrow. It is very likely to continue to move north-westwards till 10th May evening and move closer to the coast between North Andhra Pradesh and Odisha. Thereafter, it is very likely to recurve north-north-eastwards and move towards Northwest Bay of Bengal off Odisha coast.<br />'' <br />'' Meanwhile, several northern and Delta districts of Tamil Nadu witnessed moderate rain at a few places in the last 24-hours. Jeyamkondam in Ariyalur district and Manamelkudi in Pudukottai district received a maximum of seven centimeters of rain each.<br />'' <br />''As the sea would be rough, fishermen have been asked to keep off from South Andaman Sea and the South and Central East Bay for the next few days.
