Low-Pressure Area in & around Bay of Bengal set to further intensify into Depression in next 48 hrs: IMD

<span style="color: #222222;">North-East Monsoon is very active over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and its adjoining areas. The India Meteorological Department in Chennai said widespread rain has been experienced at many places. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In a weather bulletin, it said the Low-Pressure Area in the West Central Bay of Bengal and its adjoining South West Bay has intensified into a Well-Marked Low-Pressure Area and is set to further intensify into a Depression in the next forty-eight hours. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Another Low-Pressure Area in the Arabian Sea has also concentrated into a Well-Marked Low-Pressure Area and is expected to gather steam to become a Depression in the next forty-eight hours. Initially, the system in the Arabian Sea would move towards East-North East till 25th of this month, and afterwards, it will recurve towards West-North West direction.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Under the influence of the weather systems, heavy to very heavy rain is expected at isolated places in the Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Theni, Thanjavur, Nagappattinam, Tiruvarur and Ramanathapuram districts in the next twenty-four hours. Light to moderate rain is predicted in a few other places.</span><br />
