Low intensity earthquake hits north-east A moderate intensity earthquake shook parts of North-East this noon. Central Seismological Observatory in Shillong said, the earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter Scale was felt in Assam-Meghalaya region.The epicentre was located in Meghalaya's Garo hills region near Assam border. No loss of life or damage to property has beenreported so far.
