Look out notice to Mallya: Congress terms CBI's explanation 'cover-up

The Congress has taken strong exception over CBI's explanation that the look out notice against businessman Vijay Mallya was erroneously issued. <br/><br/>Briefing reporters in New Delhi, Party spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi alleged that it is a cover up excuse as the explanation is very strange. <br/>He noted that such notices are not limited only to national boundaries but it goes beyond and has connectivity with Interpol rules and are circulated across the world. <br/><br/>Mr Singhvi questioned, whether any disciplinary action has been initiated against anyone for issuing the look out notice by mistake. <br/><br/>CBI had on Friday clarified the look out notice seeking detention of Vijay Mallya last year was issued by mistake. <br/>It said the order was erroneously issued by a lower level officer in the agency. <br/><br/>The CBI said it could not legally detain Mallya as there was no non-bailable warrant against him. <br/>
