The Chief Controller R&D(Avionics) of DRDO Mr.G Elangovan informed today that a long term plan is evolved to seek technology support for internal Security in the country. He was speaking on the sidelines of international conference on Electronic Warfare in Bangalore today.

He said a Chief Controller (R&D) for internal security has been appointed for this purpose. Eloborating further he said required technology for low intensity conflict will be identified for use of para-military forces, anti-naxal force and police.

The requirement will then be made public so that corporate sector can invest in production of such a technology within the country. He said technology required is in the field of surveillance, reconnaissance and intelligence gathering.
