London's Metropolitan Police have been ordered to pay damages to four Nigerian women for failing to investigate allegations that they have been forced into slavery by human traffickers. The women, who arrived in London from Nigeria as children, claimed that they had been beaten and emotionally abused by the families they were required to work for. The High Court ordered the police to pay each of the women about seven and a half thousand dollars.
