Britain is considering placing surface-to-air missiles on residential flats close to the Olympic Park as part of the multi-layered air security plan to protect the skies over London during the high-profile Games in the city from July.BBC reports, an east London estate, has received leaflets saying a Higher Velocity Missile system could be placed on a water tower. A spokesman said the Ministry of Defence had not yet decided whether to deploy ground based air defence systems during the July 27 to August 12 London Olympics.
