Government has said that the Parliamentary Standing Committee looking into Lokpal will submit its recommendations by the end of this month and a decision will be taken over it at the earliest so as to introduce it during the forthcoming Winter session of Parliament.
Addressing a function after inaugurating the water pavilion in the trade fair, the Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal renewed the government's commitment to bring in a strong Lokpal bill to deal with the menace of corruption effectively.
Mr. Bansal, who is also holding the charge of water resources, said that a new national water policy will be ready by 31st of March next year. He said that consultations with most the stake holders has been completed and called for judicious use of water in the wake of its growing demand.
