Government on Monday charged BJP with adopting dual standards while dealing with the issue of Lokpal. Talking to reporters outside Parliament, Coal Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal said that the BJP does not want an independent Lokayukta in the state of Gujarat. Mr Jaiswal also accused the BJP of deliberately stalling the proceedings of Parliament on the issue. He also reiterated the government’s commitment of bringing a strong lokpal bill.

Responding to a question on the notice being sent to Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal, Mr Jaiswal said that law is same for all and everyone needs to abide by it.

Congress leader Satyavrat Chaturvedi added that nobody should be scared of investigation if they have nothing to hide.
