Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has said that Lokpal bill will be brought in the monsoon session of parliament to effectively tackle corruption.Addressing 6th Civil services day function in New Delhi Dr. Singh noted that there is a growing feeling in the people that laws, systems and procedures are not effective in dealing with corruption. He asserted that government is accelerating its efforts to create a systemic response to curb graft practices in the country. Prime Minister said work is on to finalise the Lokpal Bill.
