Disheartened by the smear campaign, Karnataka Lokayuktha Justice Santosh Hegde said he is pondering over the idea of disengaging from the Joint Draft Committee on Lokpal Bill. Speaking to a few media persons in Bangalore on Thursday, Lokayuktha Hegde expressed aversion at the smear campaign against civic society members in the Committee. He said that there is no doubt that there is an attempt to derail the anti-Corruption drive initiated by Social activist Anna Hazare.Meanwhile, Civil Society Activist Arvind Kejriwal has said that no one will resign from the Civil Society panel, which is the part of joint committee for drafting Lokpal Bill. He said this in New Delhi on Thursday in the wake of allegations against one of its panel members.
