In Karnataka, the Lokayukta report on illegal mining scam was allegedly leaked to media on Wednesday night. The report names Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, four of his ministers and former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy among others as beneficiaries of the illegal mining scam in the state. The Bellary ministers in the Cabinet- Janardhan Reddy, Karunakara Reddy and Sriramulu, have also been named in the report. The media report claims that Housing minister V Somanna also figures in the report. Lokayukta Justice Santosh Hegde, who is yet to submit the report on illegal mining to the Government, has expressed regret on this unfortunate development.
