In Karnataka, Lokayukta police has began investigation into allegations made against the Industries Minister Murugesh Nirani. An FIR was filed on Saturday in this regard by the Lokayuktha Police. This follows the Special Lokayukta court order last Monday to investigate charges of illegal de-notification of land against him in a private complainant by Alam Pasha. Pasha has alleged that Murugesh Nirani, in connivance with his brother H. R. Nirani and others, floated companies for the purpose of grabbing the land to make pecuniary gains of crores of rupees. He also alleged that at the behest of Nirani, these companies raised a loan of 500 crore rupees without following due procedure.
