In Uttar Pradesh the Lokayukta Justice NK Mehrotra today recommended Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI and Enforcement Directorate ED probe against PWD minister of Mayawati government Nasimuddin Siddiqui and his family members. He has given this recommendation in connection with Disproportionate Assets DA complaint against the Minister. Our Lucknow correspondent reports that Lokayukta has sent his recommendation to the Chief Minister. He has found Siddiqui prima facie guilty of amassing huge wealth through unfair means. The Lokayukta has also indicted his MLC wife Husna Siddiqui, son Afzal Siddiqui and brother Jamiruddin Siddiqui. Mr. Siddiqui is considered very close to Ms Mayawati and holding several departments. Justice Mehrotra has said that four cases filed against the minister were under investigation. In his report the Lokayukta has estimated misappropriation of over 500 crores rupees through an educational institute run by the wife of the minister and a food processing company owned by his son in Amroha in Jyotiba Phule Nagar district. Earlier several Ministers of Mayawati government has been indicated.
