A Lokayukta Special Court in Karnataka has issued summons to former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, his sons Vijayendra and Raghavendra, his son-in-law Sohan Kumar and former minister Krishnaiah Shetty in the land de-notification case.Lokayuktha Special Judge N K Sudhindra Rao directed them to appear before the court on the 3rd of next month.The summons are issued based on the enquiry report submitted by Lokayuktha police.Advocate Sirajin Basha has filed five complaints of land de-notification against Yeddyurappa and others.The case on which summons are issued today relates to illegal de-notification of government land in Rachenahalli and amalgamation of a public road on the outer ring road belonging to the Vyyalikaval House Building Cooperative Society, for pecuniary gain and resultant loss to the state exchequer. The proceedings were started by the Lokayuktha court subsequent to the Karnataka High Court verdict. The High Court dismissed the criminal petitions filed by Yeddyurappa seeking quashing of two such cases in which he had been issued summons on August 8 and was subsequently arrested and later released on bail.
