A Special Lokayuktha Court in Karnataka issued summons to former Chief Ministers B S Yeddyurappa and H D Kumaraswamy in separate cases over denotification of land and renewal of mining lease. In the case of B S Yeddyurappa a private complaint was filed with charges of illegal denotification of land allegedly favouring his family members. Lokayuktha court Judge N K Sudhindra Rao has directed to register cases against the accused under Prevention of Corruption Act. Yeddyurappa and 14 others accused in the case are asked to appear before the court on August 27. In another case where former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy is facing charges of renewal of mining lease violating Mines Act norms is summoned to the court on August 30.
