Lok Sabha witnesses disruption on issue of special status to Andhra Pradesh

The Lok Sabha was today adjourned twice in the pre-launch session following the protest by the TDP and YSR Congress over demand for special status for Andhra Pradesh. As soon as the House met for the day, members came into the well demanding suspension of Question Hour and discussion over the issue. <br/><br/>Speaker Sumitra Mahajan asked them to raise the issue during the Zero Hour but the agitated members started sloganeering in support of their demand. Amid the noisy scene, the Speaker adjourned the House first for 15 minutes and again for 15 minutes till 12.45 PM. <br/><br/>Earlier, the MPs from TDP and YSR Congress held separate protests in Parliament House complex over the demand of special category status for Andhra Pradesh. Displaying placards, the Parliamentarians shouted slogans in support of their demand.
