Replying to the discussion Union Social Justice Minister Thawar Chand Gehlot said, the Government is in process of issuing pan-India accessible identity cards to differently-abled (Divyangs) in the country.<br />''<br />''Mr Gehlot said, the new identity cards will remove the hurdles and allow Divyangs to access all the benefits and various schemes meant for the differently abled.<br />''<br />''Similarly, a National policy for Senior Citizens is also on cards to take care the growing population in the group.<br />''<br />''In the meantime, the Minister also said, the existing policy will be amended. He said, old-age homes, Police monitoring, visit of Senior Citizens by the NGOs are in plan for their welfare.<br />''<br />''Mr Gehlot said, in five years Narendra Modi Government has taken several historic steps. Ten of them were recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records for the speed, success and magnanimity.<br />''<br />''The Minister said funds are almost doubled under various programmes and welfare schemes under his ministry.</span><br />
