Lok Sabha takes up discussion on Supplementary Demands for Grants of 2.35 lakh crores for 2020-21

<span style="color: #222222;">Lok Sabha has taken up discussion on the Supplementary Demands for Grants of 2.35 lakh crores for 2020-21 and Demand for Excess Grants for 2016-17.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Taking part in the discussion, BJP MP Jayant Sinha said in the supplementary demands, various allocations have been made to boost the financial sector. He said funds are also being allocated for the benefit of MSMEs, thereby protecting employment. He added that 250 crore rupees has been allocated for those with distressed assets. <br />''<br />''Talking about MNREGA, Mr Sinha said an extra 40,000 crore rupees has been given, apart from the 60,000 crore rupees. He pointed out that while 6 crore people were earlier working under MNREGA, it is now 2 crore, as the economy is improving.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Participating in the discussion, Leader of Congress Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary sought to know from the government how they planned to achieve the target of 5 trillion economy.
