<span style="color: #222222;">The Lok Sabha is now discussing the Motion of Thanks to the President's address to the joint sitting of Parliament. Participating in it, Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge said unemployment is on the&nbsp; rise and accused the government of not fulfilling the promises made in this regard. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Kharge referred to the vacancies in different Central ministries, Universities and other sectors. He also questioned the government's decision on demonetization of high value currency notes and GST.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He alleged that the&nbsp; demonetization has failed to achieve its purpose of curbing black money and terrorism as claimed by the government. He said the note ban has adversely affected the poor, farmers, labourers and&nbsp; small traders in the country.&nbsp; <br />''<br />''Mr. Kharge also raised the issue of Rafale aircraft deal and reiterated his party's demand to set up a Joint Parliamentary Committee to probe&nbsp; it. He also alleged that the NDA government has not taken effective measures to protect the reservation of SCs, STs and OBCs.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Congress leader accused the Prime Minister of not acknowledging the work done by the Congress governments in different sectors since Independence. Anand Rao Adsul of Shiv Sena said, the decision of demonetisation did not help any farmer, trader and consumer and also failed to bring the black money. He said, it should be monitored whether the LPG cylinders provided to the beneficiaries under Ujjwala Yojana are utilised or not.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Dinesh Trivedi of TMC criticised&nbsp; the government decision of demonetisation saying that it has failed to serve the purpose and MSME traders' registrations have declined after it. He alleged that the unemployment rate is highest in the country in the last 4 decades in the country.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">SAD leader and Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal criticised the Congress saying that party has ruled the country over 60 years but failed to deliver on the aspirations of the people and involved in corruption. <br />''<br />''She said, the inflation rate was high at 10.1 per cent during the UPA rule but it is under control in the present NDA&nbsp; government. Jayadev Galla of TDP criticised the government for not granting special category status to Andhra Pradesh.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He also listed the pending demands of Andhra Pradesh as promised in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act. Mohd Salim of CPI(M) questioned the country's economic condition saying that economic imbalance is growing day by day and a large part of resources of the country is concentrated in the hands of&nbsp; few big people. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He also attacked the government on the unemployment condition in the country and alleged that the Centre has spent huge money on advertisement instead of welfare of the people.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Former Prime Minister and JD(S) leader HD Dvegowda questioned the budget announcement of providing six thousand rupees to small farmers annually terming it inadequate. <br />''<br />''He also expressed concern over farmer's plight in the country and urged the House to collectively address the issue.
