<span style="color: #222222;">Lok Sabha has taken up a discussion on the demand for grants under the ministry of Civil Aviation for 2022-23. Participating in the discussion, the BJP member Rajiv Pratap Rudy advocated promotion of Greenfield airports in the country as those functioning in Bengaluru and Hyderabad.&nbsp; He asked the Civil Aviation minister to relook into the National Aero sports policy to enable the sports to function as a commercial venture. Ramesh Badhuri of BJP praised the budgetary allocation of 600 crore rupees for the Udaan Yojana. He said that 'uday desh ke aam aadmi' has become a reality due to the Udaan yojana. Santosh Kumar of JD(U) said that Air India disinvestment was a good decision as this will offload burden on the state exchequer.&nbsp;<br />''<br />''Aparupa Poddar of AITC asked the minister to reduce the air turbine fuel tax and working capital rate of interest. She also sought uniform cancellation charges across all the airlines. Krishna Devarayalu of YSRCP lamented that none of the three airports in Andhra Pradesh including Tirupati and Viajayawada are connected to major cities in the country. Ravindranath of AIADMK sought encouragement to the flying schools at all the parts of the country. Several members commended the efforts of the Government to evacuate our students from Ukraine under Operation Ganga.</span><br />
