The Lok Sabha Speaker Ms. Meira Kumar has convened a meeting of leaders of all political parties on thursday to discuss ways and means to ensure smooth conduct of the winter session beginning November 19.<br/><br/>The month-long session is expected to be a stormy affair with the opposition raring to raise a number of issues including the alleged spectrum allocation scam in the telecom sector, price rise of essential commodities, problems of cane growers and growing strains in ties with neighbouring China.<br/><br/>The issue of MNS legislators in Maharashtra objecting to SP member Abu Asim Azmi taking oath in Hindi instead of Marathi may also raised. The ruling Congress is going to face the session in an upbeat mood so also its ally Trinamool Congress following their success in the just-concluded Assembly and Lok Sabha by-elections. BSP has also done well in the Assembly by-elections in Uttar Pradesh while SP has drawn a blank.<br/><br/>The Speaker has advanced the meeting, as she is proceeding to the US to attend a conference and will be back just before the session starts.<br/>
