An all party meeting convened by Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan was held in New Delhi last evening. The meeting, ahead of the Budget Session of Parliament, discussed ways to the smooth functioning of the House. Talking to reporters after the meeting, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan said, all parties have given assurance of extending their support in smooth functioning of Parliament. She said, during the meeting, a consensus also emerged among the parties that the Question Hour in the House should not be disturbed.<br/>Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge said, he has requested Mrs Mahajan to allow the opposition to raise the important issues which are in the interest of public and the nation.<br/>Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu, Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan, TMC leader Sudip Bandyopadhyay, Bhartruhari Mahtab of BJD, Tariq Anwar from NCP and others attended the meeting.
