Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has said that India has made progress on many fronts in 75 years of Independence and keeping the spirit of Indianness alive, is chief among them.

The Speaker was delivering the annual edition of Dr. Rajendra Prasad Memorial Lecture broadcast on All India Radio yesterday. The theme this year was "Amrit Kaal Mein Bhartiyata" to coincide with the 75 years of India's independence.

Mr Birla expressed pride that culture, spirituality, and deep love for humanity are part of India's heritage. He said, India considers the whole world as one family. India took over the presidency of G 20 recently which shows the stature of this nation in the eyes of the world, he added.
