Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla visits forward areas in eastern Ladakh

<span style="color: black;">For the first time, a Lok Sabha speaker visited zero border villages in eastern Ladakh, today. Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla visited forward areas in the eastern Ladakh and interacted with the elected representatives of zero border villagers in Chushul Hill Council constituency. He also interacted with the Army and paramilitary forces posted at forward posts in the region.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: black;">On his arrival, the local public gave him a traditional Changthang reception.  Om Birla interacted with the Panchayat representatives and Chushul councilor Konchok Stanzin on the banks of Pangong lake.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: black;">Konchok Stanzin highlighted tough living conditions in the border villages in the region. He appealed to the Speaker for strengthening infrastructure, connectivity, special quota in employment for border villages, creation of Changthang District, Line of Actual Certificate and benefits, and residential sites for bordering people in case of emergency.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: black;">Speaker Om Birla assured to take the issues up with the concerned ministries for amicable solutions. Ladakh MP Jamyang Tsering Namgyal also present on the occasion.</span><br />
