Lok Sabha Speaker addresses Probationary Officers of Indian Railway Services at Parliament House Complex

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla today addressed Probationary Officers of Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME), Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers (IRSEE) and Indian Railway Personnel Service of the 2018 and 2019 batches at the Parliament House Complex.<br />''<br />''Mr Birla underlined the vital role played by the Indian Railways in upholding the unity and integrity of the nation. He added that the Indian Railways have connected every part of the country and is a microcosm of the nations' inherent unity in diversity.<br />''<br />''Speaking about the role of Parliament, Mr Birla informed the officers that the highest temple of democracy represents the hopes and aspirations of more than 130 crore Indians. He added that the young officers must work towards ensuring that the fruits of development reach the last person in the line.<br />''<br />''As part of their training, these officers are currently undergoing a two-day Appreciation Course in Parliamentary Processes and Procedures organised by the Parliamentary Research and Training Institute for Democracies (PRIDE). A total of 118 Probationary Officers attended the inaugural session.<br />
