The Lok Sabha today resumed discussion on the Sustainable Development Goals–way forward for health and well-being of all. Participating in the debate, Bhawana Gawali of Shiv Sena stressed upon the need for enhancing the share of health budget from the existing level of 1.2 per cent of GDP. <br/><br/>She also urged the government to come out with effective measures for population control as it is necessary for success of health schemes. Sanjay Jaiswal of the BJP highlighted the the health schemes being implemented by the government. <br/><br/>He also stressed on the need for enhancing the expenditure on health sector. The discussion remained inconclusive.
