Lok Sabha today resumed discussion on General Budget 2016-17. Participating in the debate, Poonam Mahajan of BJP termed the budget as reformist, pragmatic and pro- poor. She said, NDA government has proposed exemption of duties levied on purchasing of equipments used for dialysis for the patient suffering from renal diseases. This will help dialysis centres to provide the service at affordable rates. <br/><br/>She lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for launching Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana to provide insurance cover to the damaged crops on very low premium. Tariq Anwar of NCP criticized the budget saying that the government's claim of taking care of all sections of the society seems to be half-truth. He said, the government has proposed hike in different taxes indirectly which will increase inflation. The discussion is continuing.
