Though the Lok Sabha resumes after adjournment first till noon and then till 2 pm. But the Women's Reservation Bill continued to rock the Lok Sabha for the fourth day on Thursday. The Rajya Sabha on Tuesday passed the Bill by an overwhelming majority.The leader of the house Mr. Pranab Mukherjee while responding to concerns raised by the SP, RJD and JDU leaders said that all the issues related to the Bill can be raised, debated and decided by the House when it comes for discussion. Mr Mulayam Singh Yadav, Mr Sharad Yadav and Mr Lalu Prasad, while reiterating their stand on quota for Dalits , Muslims and Backward people in the Women's reservation bill, said that they want this to further unite the society.They said that government should be taken on board on the issue and bring amendment to the Bill which has already been passed by the Rajya Sabha. They were also against the provision in the bill for rotation of Lok Sabha seats.Earlier, the Speaker, Mrs Meira Kumar, allowed the three leaders to air their views during the question hour.The Rajya Sabha was adjourned twice during the question hour following uprorious scenes over the issue of the suspension of seven members of the Rajya Sabha.Later the House resumed the discussion on Rail Budget. The trouble started when the leader of the opposition Arun Jaitely expressed regret on behalf of the members suspended for their unruly behavior during the presentation of Women's Reservation Bill in the House.He was joined by senior CPIM leader Sitaram Yechury and others and had heated arguments with the Treasury Benches.The Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mr. Pawan Kumar Bansal said in the House that the suspension of any member from the house is not a happy situation but the two issues of disrespect to the Chair and their unruly behaviour during the presentation of the Bill cannot be clubbed together.
