Lok Sabha pays tribute to victims of Hiroshima bombings

The Lok Sabha today paid tributes to the victims of nuclear holocaust in Japan's Hiroshima and Nagasaki. As soon as the House met for the day, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan said that the year marks the 70th anniversary of the dropping of atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki on August 6th and 9th in 1945. <br/><br/>She said those bombings resulted in death of thousands of innocent persons and injuring millions. She said even after seven decades, residents of these cities continue to suffer from the horrendous after-effects of nuclear radiations.
