<span style="color: #222222;">Lok Sabha passed the demands for Grants for Railways today, after the House adopted the resolution through a voice vote.<br />''Railway Minister Piyush Goyal replied during the Discussion for One hour and 22 minutes in the Lok Sabha. Mr. Goyal listed various developmental activities, amenities and over all modernization that has changed the face of Railways for the last five and half years. Mr. Goyal said, the path shown by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to go to the root cause of problems is yielding results in India's railway network.<br />''<br />''Rail Minister said, unification of various help lines for quicker response, Bio-toilets, automated coach cleaning plants have 360 degree benefits and save funds<br />''<br />''Attacking previous governments quoting several decade old pending projects, Mr. Goyal said separate rail budgets were nothing but political budgets without any vision for development. He said, under the leadership PM Modi, this government has taken up 58 Super Critical projects. He added that 68 critical projects with all required clearances and earmarked funds are on the focus for early completion. Quoting the Uttarakhand Government's cooperation in technically challenging 105 KM rail line connecting Char Dham pilgrim centres, the Minister appealed to State governments to help in land acquisition for early completion of projects. He also said, world's highest railway bridge at Chenab in Kashmir will be completed in two and half years and Railways are also connecting all capitals of North Eastern states.<br />''<br />'' Addressing the need for privatization the Rail Minister said in next 12 years the country need investment of 25 lakh Crore funds for various developmental activities. The government has taken a cautious calibrated decision to attract private participation in projects, without transferring the burden to the passenger.<br />''<br />'' Mr. Goyal said, with change in approach and mindset, the Modern coach Factory in Raibareli is producing double to its capacity with 2000 coaches this year. He said that new coaches with more safety features and amenities will allow old coaches to be discarded.<br />''<br />''Rail Minister said, that PM Modi gave a new target of erecting 20 thousands Mega Watts solar power generation facilities in vacant lands of Railways across the country. With this, he added that Indian Railways will soon be a net Zero emission transport system in the world. He further listed various steps the ministry had taken including Swachha Bharat, Water conservation, Wi-Fi services, bright lighting in all stations, Toilet facilities and amenities for Divyangs, Lifts and escalators, electronic devices to monitor punctuality of trains, refunding fee for delay in trains like Tejas and zero unmanned level crossings.<br />''<br />''The Minister said, over 10 thousands Crore worth tickets booked in fake software were cancelled and 4 persons were arrested to put an end to the touts and bogus ticketing system. The Minister said, across the country 5300 touts, 884 booking vendors were also arrested to streamline the ticket booking system.<br />''<br />''The Rail Minister assured all employees and officers that Indian Railway Maintenance Service would end different silos and better the Railway services in the future. Minister said, 1.47 lakh employees at different levels are recruited to the Railways.</span><br />
