Lok Sabha passes budget of Jammu and Kashmir for 2023-24

<span style="color: #222222;">Lok Sabha on Tuesday passed the Budget of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for  2023-24 and the Supplementary Demands for Grants for Jammu and Kashmir for 2022-23. The House also passed Jammu and Kashmir Appropriation (No 2) Bill 2023 and the Jammu and Kashmir Appropriation Bill 2023 with voice votes.<br />''           <br />''Initiating the discussion over the Budget of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir 2023-24, Jugal Kishore of BJP termed this budget commendable. He lauded that the budget will benefit the people of Jammu and Kashmir as sufficient funds have been allocated for every sector and section of the society. He said, the government has made provision for over one lakh crore rupees in the budget.<br />''<br />''The Budget of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir 2023-24 was introduced in Lok Sabha on 13th of this month by Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Choudhary. <br />''<br />''The total budget outlay is one lakh 18 thousand 500 crore rupees. It includes capital expenditure worth 41 thousand 491 crore rupees and revenue expenditure of over 77 thousand crore rupees. Under the Supplementary Demands for Grants for Jammu and Kashmir for the years 2022-23, the Government had sought an additional 3 thousand 711 crore rupees.</span><br />
