The Lok Sabha has been adjourned briefly today after opposition MPs staged protests over BJP leader Tarun Vijay's controversial remarks on racism and South Indians. As soon as the House met for the day, Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge raised the issue. The Speaker Sumitra Mahajan did not allow him saying the issue can be raised during Zero Hour. However, Congress leaders trooped into the well of the House shouting slogans. <br/><br/>Parliamentary Affairs minister Ananth Kumar said there is no South India, East India or middle India. He said there is only one India. Mr Kumar tried to pacify the agitating members. However, Congress members did not relent from shouting slogans. The Speaker adjourned the House for 10 minutes. Later, the House is transacting business smoothly.
