Lok Sabha continued to witness noisy scenes on Arunachal Pradesh issue

The Lok Sabha continued to witness noisy scenes on Arunachal Pradesh issue. As the House assembled for the day, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan allowed question hour after rejecting several adjournment notices on different issues. Leader of the Congress in the House Mallikarjun Kharge wanted to raise Arunachal issue. Mr Kharge mentioned political situation in the state and referred High Court's observation on Governor's decision. <br/><br/>Not accepting Mr Kharge's demand for a discussion on the issue, Mrs Mahajan said that member couldn't raise issue while referring to High Court observation. While question hour was in progress, Congress members' troops into the well and started shouting slogans. The members demanded dismissal of Governor of Arunachal Pradesh. In the midst of question hour, Mrs Mahajan appealed to Congress members to follow procedures for raising any such issues. She commented that Congress had also long experience of governance and as per the procedure, proper notice should be given. She pulled Congress members for shouting slogans in the house. Meanwhile, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu requested to the Speaker that High Court reference should not be taken into record of the House. However despite Speaker's appeal opposition Congress continued their protest.
